Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you have your pick of unspoilt beaches to enjoy, spectacular coastal walks to Lyme Regis and the villages of Beer and Branscombe, and a selection of great pubs and fine restaurants to try. There are also historical houses and gardens, beautiful rural landscapes and ancient monuments to explore. Or why not treat yourself to a local spa, a round of golf or a fishing trip. East Devon is a well-kept secret and offers all you would expect of a SW England holiday, but without the cars or crowds
"We were blown away by the amazing setting and unique architecture of Upcott when we first saw it; still the challenge to restore this rather forlorn old lady lay before us. We thought it would take 3 months, it took 18! Along the way we incorporated many organic materials and sustainable technologies into the building, as well as installing the best in luxury bathing, catering and entertaining
We did all this with two young children under our feet, which led us to believe that Upcott should be a child-friendly place. The grounds are safe to run around in, there are plenty of toys to play with and an array of baby equipment is provided
